The latest in a long line of all- and brand-new utility vehicles, the 2020 Hyundai Venue is the smallest crossover the brand has to offer. It was the final introduction after Hyundai promised to unveil several redesigned and completely new utility vehicles to the lineup, joining other brand-new vehicles like the Kona and Palisade. Considered a mini crossover, the Venue is slightly smaller than even the subcompact Kona, making it the new entry-level SUV available from the brand here in Green Bay WI.
It made its debut at the 2019 New York Auto Show before being officially introduced to the lineup later that year, not long after the Palisade. Designed to be an affordable entry-level crossover, the Venue is still packed with plenty of value and is quite stylish inside and out.
The Venue is powered by a Smartstream 1.6L engine tethered to either a 6-speed manual transmission or the new Smartstream Intelligent Variable Transmission. Some of its key features include an 8” display audio and multimedia touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, two-tone exterior color options, an available power sunroof, an available set of 17” alloy wheels and 60/40 split-folding rear seats.
Furthermore, it’s packed with the latest Hyundai SmartSense package, which isn’t always the case for entry-level vehicles. SmartSense includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Attention Warning as standard, with both Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist and Blind Spot Collision Warning being available to add.
Other great features offered in the vehicle include a navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free, next-gen Blue Link, dual-charging USB, a rear-view monitor, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, selectable driving modes that include snow among them, and so much more.
