Generation 1 (1966 – 1977)

News of the Bronco entering the Ford lineup was a huge deal back in 1966. The Bronco was Ford’s first “all-purpose vehicle” as it was designed to traverse off-road with its new 4×4 drivetrain. Generation 2 (1978 – 1979)

With the release of Generation 2, the Ford Bronco was more popular than ever. Starting with the 1978 model, the Bronco has seen some major design changes, including sharing the F-150 platform, getting a more luxurious interior, and beefing up its size.

Generation 3 (1980 – 1986)

Generation 3 was all about improving performance and fuel economy.
