The front and rear shock canisters will also be tweaked for improved performance with an extra half inch of diameter.

New and improved engine and transmission

The 2017 Ford Raptor will come standard with a second-generation 3.5-liter Ecoboost engine that promises to deliver on more power than the current 6.2-liter V8 with improved efficiency. Paired with an all-new ten-speed transmission, a new four-wheel drive torque-on-demand transfer case, and improved driver-assist technology, this Raptor should set a new standard on efficiency and off-road performance.
