Every year, drivers clamor to get the newest edition of the incredibly popular Chevrolet Silverado 1500. No matter how great each model is, next year’s always seems to top it! Recently, the first information and looks of the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 have begun to trickle in. So, when can drivers finally get their hands on the 2019 Silverado?

Unfortunately, drivers are still going to have to wait awhile before they can take the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for a spin. Chevrolet hasn’t put out an exact release date, but production for the 2019 Silverado has started, and early estimates from industry experts place a general timeline of the fall of 2018 being the time the 2019 Silverado will be available.

That’s still some ways away, but it gives us time to learn more about the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 and everything new about it! For instance, it’s incredible new lineup of engine options for drivers to choose from!

New Engine Options in the 2019 Chevy Silverado

Returning for the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 are the solid and impressive 4.3-liter V6 and 5.3-liter V8 engines for full-size trucks, but new engines include the two most advanced V8 engines Chevy’s ever made! The 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8 engines both come with the industry’s first ever Dynamic Fuel Management featuring 17 modes of cylinder deactivation!

Also new is a 2.7-liter turbo engine that takes the place of the 4.3 V6 from previous years. This engine may not be the biggest, but it’s no slouch in the muscle department as it offers 22 percent more torque, a better power-to-weight ratio and better fuel efficiency!

Also new is a Duramax 3.0-liter inline-six turbo diesel, but it won’t be available until early 2019 and little information is known about it yet.
