The newest Cruze got some serious attention at the recent big show.
Chevy made its presence known at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show this month. One of the more interesting entries that we saw from the company was the Chevy Cruze 2.0 TD. This is a turbo diesel version of the Chevy Cruze that did some serious head-turning at the event. While the Chevy Cruze in Green Bay has already gathered a large audience, the introduction of a diesel model of the car is a very intriguing development.
In addition to the obvious fact that the Chevy Cruze 2.0 TD will take diesel fuel instead of regular gasoline, there are some other interesting fuel-related features on the car. The Chevy Cruze 2.0 TD has active grille shutters and smooth underlay panels that are very similar to the Cruze Eco – which is a fuel-saving version of the Cruze as well. The car will feature a 4.5-gallon take for the Diesel Emission Fluid. While this might have been an issue for some buyers, Chevy will actually give out two years of free maintenance on this area, including free refills of the urea liquid to purchasers.
The Chevy Cruze 2.0 TD is a new take on a hot car from Chevy. It proves to us that the engineers at the brand are never satisfied and always looking for more. It will be interesting to see the real-world fuel mileage that the vehicle will bring when it comes to market. If the interest at the show is any sort of barometer, we can expect the new Cruze diesel to be a popular car.
At Broadway Automotive, we love keeping you up on the latest from Chevy and all of our manufacturers. The new Chevy Cruze 2.0 TD is just one of the hot Green Bay new cars coming soon. Stay up with the latest here on our blog!
