The 2017 Chevy Silverado will continue with the same body and trim options as in 2016, but with some changes to specific packages. Slate Grey, Tungsten , and Autumn Bronze exterior colors have been discontinued, and Graphite and Pepperdust have been added. The luxurious High Country trim will also now come standard with a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

2017 Silverado 1500 New Technology Options

The changes from the 2016 Chevy Silverado to the 2017 Chevy Silverado are not just cosmetic. There are also some impressive new technology enhancements coming for the new model year that we have seen before on other Chevy vehicles, but will be more readily available now on the 2017 Chevy Silverado. Some of them include:

  • Teen Driver Mode – Allows parents to set restrictions on top speed and sound system volume to help learning drivers develop good habits.
  • Low Speed Mitigation Braking – Added to the Enhanced Driver Alert Package (which will be standard on the High Country trim and available on other models) low speed mitigation braking helps drivers minimize an impact in the case of an accident.
  • Android Auto – The Android Auto smartphone compatibility system will join Apple CarPlay in making the 2017 Chevy Silverado even easier to interact with.
